Path Tutorial

Loading Data

The first step in using Path is to load your data with the setup application. Windows users should use the runSetup.bat file, while Linux users should use the runSetup.sh file. Linux users may need to change the permission of the runSetup.sh file in order to allow it to execute. This can be done by entering the following command: chmod +x runSetup.sh

Executing the runSetup application should bring up the setup application GUI with the Import Pedigree Data window displayed (as shown in Figure 1).

Users of Path have two options when importing data: (1) import a pedigree file and an accompanying data file, or (2) import a pedigree file, an accompanying data file, and an association results file.

Execute the runSetup application located within the Path folder.
